The primary difference is the product used underneath the tip. Gel Xpress uses gel, while Acrylic Express uses acrylic to adhere and reinforce the full-cover nail.

Because the acrylic extends underneath the full nail tip, it provides added reinforcement throughout the nail. In our experience, this gives Acrylic Express nails a sturdier feel than gel-based full-cover extensions, which can sometimes feel more flexible.

How Is Acrylic Express Different From Traditional Acrylic Nails?

With a traditional acrylic set, the acrylic is applied and shaped across the top of the nail extension. This usually requires more filing and drilling to create the final shape and smooth the surface.
