Welcome back to Nails Are My Canvas! 🎨
I'm still having so much fun with my fall-inspired nail art, and for Episode 7, I wanted to continue the fall theme I've been creating while doing something completely different.
In Episode 6, I painted a fall scene featuring a vintage truck and pumpkins. For Episode 7, I decided to stay in that same autumn world, but this time, I wanted to paint a red barn surrounded by beautiful fall colors.
That's one of the things I love about creating nail art. I can take the same inspiration and turn it into so many different designs. Each nail can be its own little piece of art while still feeling like it belongs to the same collection.
From a Blank Nail to a Fall Barn
I started this design with a soft background and then began outlining the shape of my barn.
Once I had the basic shape where I wanted it, I started filling the barn with red and adding the details that would bring it to life—the dark roof, the little window, and those white barn-door details.
Then came one of my favorite parts: adding the scenery.
I painted trees and branches around the barn and brought in those warm reds, oranges, yellows and other colors that remind me of fall. With every little detail I added, the nail started looking less like a nail and more like a tiny fall painting.
And yes—all of this was hand-painted on ONE nail.
Different Design. Same Fall Story.
Episode 6 and Episode 7 are completely different designs, but I love how they still feel connected.
The vintage truck and pumpkins from Episode 6 and the red barn from Episode 7 each tell their own little story, but they're both inspired by the same beautiful fall season.
That's what I want to continue doing with this collection—challenging myself to see how many different scenes and ideas I can create while staying within the same theme.
Why I Call It “Nails Are My Canvas”
I've been doing nails for many years, but nail artistry gives me another way to be creative.
A nail may be a very small canvas, but that doesn't mean the artwork has to be small in imagination.
I can start with a blank nail and turn it into a landscape, a barn, a truck, flowers—or whatever else inspires me.
That's why I call this series Nails Are My Canvas.
Small nail. Big art. 🎨
